Amino acids
Amino acids have a huge impact on building muscle mass, its proper development, functioning and metabolic processes occurring within it. They have anti-catabolic action and accelerate muscle regeneration.
In the case of people who engage in physical activity, who want to supplement the level of amino acids needed for the proper functioning of the body, and increase the effectiveness of the training, applies the so-called BCAA amino acids, which are absorbed immediately after ingestion, and also accelerate the process of muscle tissue recovery.
There are two basic types of amino acids. The first one is the endogenous amino acids, i.e. which our body is able to synthesize by itself, in contrast to essential amino acids. Due to their needs, they must be delivered with food to maintain the proper functioning of the whole organism. In the case of BCAAs, consisting of three molecules, which are exogenous amino acids, the use of this supplement greatly contributes to muscle performance, faster regeneration and expansion of muscle mass. Amino acids are the basic source of energy. They play an important role in the development of cells, affect the positive and effective functioning of the immune system, are the building blocks of antibodies and enzymes. They regulate blood pressure and are responsible for the transport of certain vitamins and nutrients.
In order to take care of the appropriate level of amino acids in the body, and therefore its proper functioning and health, including psychological well-being, it is recommended to eat meat products that are rich in amino acids, like dairy products or yeast. Also, fish is a valuable source of amino acids. In the case of people using a vegetarian diet, it is recommended to additionally use dietary supplements that will supplement the body's amino acid deficiency. It is worth knowing, however, that also fruits, cereal products, eggs, potatoes are widely available source of amino acids.
Which amino acids are particularly needed by the body? First of all, leucine, available in animal and vegetable protein, due to the regulation of blood sugar, providing muscles with energy to work, preventing muscle breakdown and additional acceleration of muscle tissue regeneration. This is one of the amino acids that should be a constant part of the diet. It is one of the BCAA components. Isoleucine also regulates the level of sugar and responsible for energy production. It is an important building block of muscle tissue and supports the action of valine, which should be given with leucine or isoleucine. Valine is responsible for the proper level of muscle metabolism and the reconstruction of their tissue. Glutamine is also an amino acid especially needed for people undertaking intense physical exercise. In particular, it is responsible for the removal of ammonia, the accumulation of which causes tiredness and reduced energy in the muscles. Effectively prevents catabolic collapse and positively affects muscle regeneration. It is an important element in the functioning of the immune system.
